Airtran: Cheap and on-time. I have flown with them exclusively to and from drill for all of this year (and part of the last). They are on-time pretty much as SOP, and early departures aren't unknown. They board and deplane quickly and efficiently, too, which can't be said for other airlines.

Smith & Wesson: Although I've by no means put my M&P-15T through an exhaustive test, so far I'm fine with it. It could use a few minor product improvements, but I think the company has hit on a good thing. And their customer service seems to be right on the mark.

I still can't stomach S&W. I have an old Highway Patrolman which I love, but I don't like their new products. Ruger gets most of my gun money (going by what is in my safe anyway).
Cabela's is great at everything. For ammo, though, other places like Cheaperthandirt.com or Midsouthshooterssupply.com have a much better selection (such as Corbon) and a wider variety. It definitely pays to look around online.

100% with you on Cabelas. Hven't flown Air Tran before. The Value Jet fall out still unnerves me, plus our corporate travel group doesn't book them (though they will book Southwest which is interesting).
LtC, have you put a light on your M&P15 yet? I'd be interested in hearing what you went with if you have, I'm considering changing my light out for something else.
Mule:
No light yet. Have left it as is, and am fairly pleased with the overall gun, with some minor beefs-- standard back-up iron sights GOOD/AK-style front sight, BAD; quad rail, GOOD/no front sling attachment, BAD; uses GI magazines, GOOD/can't accept MagPul PMags, BAD. Otherwise, you know it's ok! Once I learned that it needed some more lube than I'm used to keep it running, I was OK.
I'll be swapping out the front sight, and have already installed a GG&G Sling Thing. The Blue Force Gear Vickers Sling is next, and then ERGO grips. After that I'm going to leave it alone. No optics yet, I want to master it with the iron sights.
LtC, Troy is now making their flip-up fronts with an AR style sight post instead of the AK. I've been waiting until they offer a tritium sight post before I switch.
Also, you may want to try a new PMag. A buddy had one at the range and it dropped free & clean out of my magwell. If you know someone who has a newer one, give it a shot and see. I just ordered three this week and will give you an intel dump when I shoot them.
Brother Mule:
I bought a PMag to see how it did, having heard that they don't work in "some" M&P15Ts. Mine is one of the "some." Wouldn't seat with bolt open, closed, mag full or empty. Don't know why, but that is a flaw.
On the positive side, have never had a problem using GI mags. Let me know how yours goes!
